The taste of Trentino in our restaurant in Folgarida

The restaurant at Hotel Alaska in Folgarida is ready to welcome you every day for lunch and dinner to delight you with typical Trentino flavours and the most famous recipes from Italian and international cuisine.
For us the key word is quality: we prepare our gourmet dishes with the utmost care using zero km products where possible.

We meet every need by preparing natural and vegetarian menus, and those for people with allergies and gluten-free dishes on request. Everyday there are menus especially for children with simple and genuine flavours.

Lunch and dinner times are also convenient for those like you who want to spend their days immersed in the nature of Val di Sole. In the winter don’t miss the fabulous barbecue grill right on the ski slopes and later the unique atmosphere of a fascinating aperitif at sunset with a view over the Brenta Dolomites…

Local and international cuisine

Cuisine that combines the taste of tradition with the original taste of innovation delighting you with genuine dishes created with local produce. Typical traditional mountain cuisine is also simple and delicious: we want to take you on a taste journey full of new flavours and aromas: this is why every week our restaurant serves a typical Trentino dinner during which you can sample the best local produce.
Not just typical dishes: to meet the tastes of all our guests we also serve Mediterranean and international cuisine.

Times and flexibility for every need

Our local area seems to be perfect for spending entire days out in the open air, this is why we have adopted convenient and flexible times for meals so you can organise your day trekking or skiing!

  • The breakfast buffet with sweet and savoury dishes from the mountains includes alpine butter, organic eggs, local yoghurts and cheeses, conserves, aromatic water and homemade biscuits and cakes… To name just a few.
  • Breakfast is served from 07.30 to 09.30 in the dining room, at different times it is possible to have breakfast at the bar or in the garden in good weather.
  • Sports enthusiasts can request a reinforced/early breakfast.
  • Lunch can be eaten in the Hotel until 13.30; in the winter in “The Grill” the terrace overlooking the ski slopes, it is possible to have lunch until 15.30.
  • Dinner is served at the table from 19 until 21.
  • Every evening there is a buffet with vegetables, fresh salads and various types of focaccia. To finish there are desserts prepared by our Chefs…

We pay attention to everyone’s needs: let us know when you book, we will prepare vegetarian or gluten-free dishes or those for people on particular diets due to intolerances or allergies.
What about the children? Our chefs can prepare special healthy and genuine dishes for young children; we also offer parents the possibility to request assisted meals for children.

Our fantastic wine list

The pride of our restaurant is the wine list that contains 90 different labels including excellent Trento Doc wines and Passiti. That’s not all: we pay particular attention to choosing organic and biodynamic wines from all over Italy but above all from Trentino and nearby South Tyrol.

Typical products: zero km food and wine tastings

Every week we organise special food and wine tastings of typical products from the local area which definitely feature cheese from Val di Sole such as Casolet.
We like to say that the cheese we select comes from happy cows given that the cows in the mountain pastures wake up and see the Brenta Dolomites, walk all day, eat the grass they want and above all as much as they want! In the spring these placid animals eat lots of dandelion flowers that cover the pastures: this makes it possible to obtain dairy products with a low cholesterol content.

That’s not all: during the food and wine tastings you can also try grappas, salamis, conserves and honey, all zero km!

To support mountain agriculture in a more active way we provide our guests with the possibility of buying local products before they leave as well as to have them delivered directly to their home! All you need to do is send us your e-mail address, we will send you a price list and the list of products available.

A barbecue grill on the ski slopes

In the winter the terrace at our Hotel is equipped with “The Grill” to transform it into an outdoor restaurant overlooking the Blue ski slope in Folgarida; here you can enjoy freshly prepared grilled meat with quality local produce.

When the sun starts to go down the outdoor restaurant becomes the perfect location for Après Ski in good company.
